I was in the same boat last year. Just wanted to do I.E.'s but parli has a much bigger draw to it. didn't like it at first, but now that I know what's going on it's a lot of fun to mentally kick somebody's ***.

ONe thing i wanted to point out. i don't remember who posted but i think it deserves a little clarification. The government team decides who the house is going to be when defining the resolution, the topic given before the round begins, for example: This House would pack heat This House could be anyone from United States Federal Government to my mom.

I've also got a rather extensive knowledge of parlimentary debate any questions feel free to ask me through pm and i will try my best to answer them.

i live in PA and i though there were teams of 3 thats how it works in our state quals so if any one knows PA parli rules let me know

We have the equivalent of Parliamentary debate down here; we call it public. It's my kind of debate- 15 minutes prep, times of speaking: 7,8,8,4,5. Fun and a lot shorter than CX.
