Talking How to format an informative Oratory

So, I want to do an Oratory essentially about how stereotypes are a good thing but I don't know how to format it. I know most Oratories follow the "Causes-Effects-Solutions" format, but because this topic is more information based, I don't know how to properly structure it so the judge isn't left voting me down every round because the Oratory doesn't have a "Call to Duty."

-Any and all help is appreciated,

    There are 3 popular forms:

    Cause - Effect - Solution

Problem - Cause - Solution (The problem paragraph is where you define the angle that you're taking with the OO, and why it's a problem)

Concern 1 - Concern 2 - Impact - Solution (You find 2 completely different concerns regarding your topic, and then bring them together with their impact and solutions)

You could always structure it as "we should embrace stereotypes" or "We have a negative view towards stereotypes". That makes it a bit easier to put into the standard formats.

Take a look at the "9-11 Generation" OO from NFL finals this year, it was structured like an informative.

    I always find

    -Define

    -Impact(s)

    -Solution

as a super effective, simple, and efficient way of formatting an oratory!

I think the purpose of Oratory is to be persuasive rather than informative - expository is the informative NFL event.

Although that aside, I think the best way to evaluate how you should format your oratory should be through trial and error, or do what I do - and watch NFL finalists to get ideas. If all doesn't work, go to the basic oratory formats previously listed and try them out. My favorite is the basic problem, impact, and solution.

I would go with Kevin's format, it's a very to the point clear way to do it. Also he knows what he is talking about when it comes to OO, he has been both our state runner up, NFL Finalist and Semifinalist!
    Interp for life!
