    Default Ozark District!

Our district represented really well at Nats last month! Bailey Norton was one of ours, all four of our HIs broke to outrounds, and three broke to Semis. I'm really excited for the upcoming season.

Julia Diekmeier (Marshfield HS)- Top 60 2011

    DUO:
Tanner Westmoreland and Justin Oller (Branson HS)- 2012 MSHSAA State Champs
Sarah Elam and Sara Denney (Gloria Deo Academy)- Top 60 2012

    Public Forum:
Spenser Pulleyking and Nancy Fairbank (Central HS)- 13th Place 2012

There are also some really talented kids that should be big next season, which include, but definitely aren't limited to:

Hayley Rader (Marshfield HS)- HI, DUO
Josh Nixon (Logan-Rogersville HS)- USX and Policy
Avery Day and Jamie Atkison (Marshfield HS)- Policy

What about the debate side of things? I know some LD'ers in the KC Metro that will be big on our local circuit, but what about overall?

As first semester closes out, how are people looking? I know Tanner Westmoreland has won his past three tournaments in hi. Obviously he and Justin Oller continue to dominate duo. Does anyone know what their piece is? Laura Grisham has been kind of quiet but I also havent been at many tournaments with her. Gloria Deo DIs are winning and I think one does hi? any predictions on how nfl districts/state will play out? i bet the branson boys repeat as state champions, if i had to guess.

HI in the greater kansas city area is always a bloodbath. So many talented people i compete against every weekend. Here are a few of them i compete against routinely.

Curtis Chaplin Blue Springs (Forgot the name, but its about penguins and the lottery)
Drake Evans Blue Springs "The Elf Rebellion"

Kenny Tran Liberty North "Thomas Bradys 1st Day of Kindergarten"
    Emma Allman Liberty North "Matilda"

Dane Schnake Ray-Pec "I am a genius of unspeakable evil and i want to be your class president" (I think thats the accurate title)

Noah Jermain Savannah "The ultimate script" *Top 30 at Nats 2012*

Noah and Dane have seen SIGNIFICANT success, I feel like, this semester.

I would also like to throw in:

Michael Cohen: Truman: "Jingle All The Way".... Rumored he might change it.

Also, you been doing well yourself, Dominic! I wish I could see it already!

And in Duo I only know of two powerhouses:

Burns/Brockmeyer: Blue Springs: Some piece about a daughter and a mother... and the south... and burning a house... and a father.. and a crazy son. It's super powerful and well done.

Henning/Hoyle: Blue Springs South: Haven't seen this piece yet, but I've only heard great things!
