    Default Poetry for 2012-2013 anyone?

The poetry forum always seems dead and I've been on here looking for advice on poetry for the longest time. So I decided to start a thread.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has been getting ideas or poems for programs this upcoming season.

I've never competed in poetry before seeing that it's only my second year of speech, but I've had a poetry program ready since the end of this season because I wanted to perform something new for my school's small speech team exhibition. I'm SO ANXIOUS to take it to the first tournament of the season just because I love my program so much and my team loves it too. I hope I do well with it. It's about being transgendered, which is something I'm passionate about (although I'm not transgendered). It's just something I sympathize with that not a lot of people understand. I'm a boy too, so hopefully this doesn't rub people the wrong way or make them confused.

I'd love to hear what everyone else is doing or has in mind.

It sounds lovely, it's a mature of being mature and soon it well and I bet you can :-). When I was in school tho past year I did autism and a poem about a homeless women and played her as well(I'm a guy). I hope everything goes well for you this year!

I actually have a friend looking into a cutting of a Jeffrey Hatcher themed poetry program. It sounds kind of creepy, not going to lie.
Literally, if my life were a drama it would win nationals.
