Obviously your HI went well, Cory (and congrats on that), but I'm curious about the feedback you got during the year. I had a student do that piece with mixed results. He did very well on much of the NIETOC circuit, with a few exceptions. But on a bunch of ballots he got the comment, "Not this piece again" or saying it was overdone. Did you run into this?

Um, I didn't get my ballots back from my circuit tournaments, but from what I did get back, I didn't get that comment. But, it is a reason why I am changing my piece. My coach felt like it had been done and done well and people are tired of seeing it. Most people have seen it done and don't want to see it again, no matter how good.

Newport High School's Jackie Reilly has withdrawn from HI. She was doing "Flight 212 to LA". I believe the replacement is from The Bear Creek School, not sure on the name or the piece. Will update when I know more.
