So, this is a fun little story I thought I would share. I was waiting with my fellow competitors outside of my judge's room because she had yet to arrive. We were all talking, and everyone seemed very fun and friendly. We all started joking around about stupid things we could do in impromptu, and then it came to us... let's rick-roll the judge.
Rick-rolling, if you're unaware, is when you play Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" when someone expects something different. This has become a fairly well known meme online, and has even spread so far that Congress did this once, with each representative saying one line of the song.
This was our basic principle. In each of our speeches, we all did one line of the song. For instance, my speech was about perseverance, and I said, "I'm never going to give you up. Never gonna run around and hurt you."
To make things better, I got first in the round and first at the tournament.

It's always fun to screw with the judged (I am one now, and it's great!)
