I haven't seen any pieces at a national tournament this year, cause our team had to cut back a lot due to budget cuts, so the only national tournament I've been to is Wake Forest, where there is no prose category. Locally, I've seen a couple good pieces, one was called "There is no desert," which was decent, but a bit overdramatic and probably a better DI. The other was done by Michael Griggs but I can't remember the name of it. Also, my piece has done really well, it's called "The Lesson" by Carol Lynn Pearson which at a glance seems like a kiddie lit but is really deep.

I have seen some great humerous proses this year. One of the semifinals at yale that I saw was completely hilarious and difficult to judge. A great round for such an early tournament.
