Assuming no since your original post doesnt say so.....Charlie Metzger for Suncoast and I doubt you will get much of a dispute from anyone on these boards


Let me think off hand:

He won glenbrooks, he placed 4th in DX and FX at Blue Key as a sophomore, he won DX and tied for 1st in FX (gave him 2nd based on that thing in extemp where they take the recipricals but funny enough that tie breaker is no where in the BK handbook....I know bc I am on staff now) as a senior, he was 2nd at Emory, 2nd at NFLs, 3rd at Crestian, semis at Yale, semis at Harvard.....he semied in FX as a junior at BK and placed in DX (i wanna say 3rd) but I cant remember for sure

Then his senior year he also went and got 2nd in OO at CFLs (I believe it was 2nd....no one freak out if I am wrong lol this is all off hand), 2nd in OO at Crestian, and 2nd at Harvard in oratory

ahh well then Im not sure where to go because Congress has definitely changed within the last 5 years or so as it has gotten more national exposure. Comparing me, Tara (the girl who taught me) or any of the kids on the team this year (Gabs, Will, Bo, Dani, Andres, etc) to the kids from 2000 or farther back wouldn't be truly fair to them because Tara, myself, and this years team just have a lot more oportunities to compete.

That being said, yah charlie was great. He graduated this past year with me, was my roommate everywhere since sophomore year, and is now a freshman at princeton lol.

Probably (at least in recent history) Herschel Patel:
-Finalled everywhere he went his senior year (Wake, GB, Emory, Harvard, TOC, CFL, NFL)
-Placed at 4 of those (3rd at Wake, 7th at Emory, 2nd at TOC, 2nd at NFL house)
-Great guy too

guesswho, seeing that you attended both the Myers Park tourney and Titan, you are probably from Florida
To my knowledge, only two schools (i may be wrong) came to Myers Park from Florida: Stoneman-Douglas and American Heritage
