The absolute worst situation:
You have a conflict, and so you perform first in your room. You think you did pretty well, your time was superb, and your judge smiles and tells you Good Luck as you walk out the door.
You check postings later.
You didn't break.
Oh well, you think, there must have been some great people in my room!
Your teacher gives you your ballots in class later that week.
Your judge checked Yes to all of those questions on the ballots (i.e. Does the performer show adequate understanding of the piece? Is the general tone of the piece defined? etc)
buuuuut...
Your judge ranked you last!
There are no other critiques!
How is this helpful to a performer in ANY WAY WHATSOEVER!?
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
