So I'll be doing my first DI this saturday and I'm really nervous. I'm doing Angels in America. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions to help me with my pops. I know practicing is the key, but if anyone has any tips, that'd be awesome.

Focus on making the characters different and varied. Be sure to concentrate on the characterization and not just the tech of it. The most important thing in DI is to get across the message and the emotions. Other than that, just hae confidence and have fun. (And remember, this is your first time doing DI, so don't be discouraged if you don't win the the first time off. Speech is about the experiences, not the success).
try and make your pops subtle for the most part...what i mean by this is not really jerky, or any odd movements that would detract from the rest of the piece. unless you are intentionally going for some stylistic transitions...people shouldn't even really notice your transitions.
