Default October 30th - Domestic - FOL is back and Halloween

Okay, first off, I'd like to say thank you to the admins to getting the site back up and running.

Since Tuesday is Halloween and all, I figured it would be appropriate to do a Halloween-themed Topic of the Week.

What are your plans for the holiday? Are you dressing up as anything?

DITTO on Megans kudos to our Site Administrators.

    TOPIC....
Hallow's Eve ..... then dia de muerte ... All Soul's Day

Helped kids with assignments on dia de muerte in our World Languages Labs... many of the Spanish teachers were working on it. French teacher is dressing as a MIME on Tuesday.

We will have candy out at school and for the trick or treaters at home.
I generally end up making up a few kids and adults for the holiday.
I assisted a few on Saturday. Our Village Halloween Parade, had 3 kids from our I.T.S. troupe work it (one dressed as Curious George and two helpers -- Scarecrow and Alice in Wonderland). Helped with a Children's Book store storytelling hour, took pictures with kids, handed out candy.

Main thing..... coaching sessions for 1st tournament on Saturday.

Then helped my daughter get ready for a Halloween Party and Sleepover.
Helped the other daughter with explanation on bruise make up for some kids at her college.

We watched movies. We will probably go out for dinner, no party this year.

What will I get dressed as ....
we have no costume policy at school. I will probably wear tiara .... so be an Empress or Queen or sorts.

Alas ... no attending a Halloween party this year.

Our school lets our seniors dress up, so my friend and I (who occasionally posts here as misterbittlesworth) are going as Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar.

As far as I know, my friends and I are going to classes in costume. We'll see what the professors and TAs say. I'm going to be V, from V for Vendetta. I've even memorized his alliterative introduction. I'm hoping to get some opportunity to say it in costume. I don't know what we're doing that night yet/

we did our annual trunk or treat thing where everyone comes and parks their car and then decorates the trunk. it was pretty awesome, although we had WAY more kids than expected and ended up having to go on a $650 candy run. ::which came from the courtwarming budget::. but it was fun.

for halloween i'm going to be an emo kid, and i'll take my little sister trick or treating then go see Saw III.

oh, and BRAVA to all of the admins. i was suffering some serious withdrawals.
why yes...i dissect bodies on the weekend...
