I do not like Bellaire. They are in our district...I never see many of them at tournaments, yet they continue to lead the NFL in degrees earned.

What they do is THEY hold a freshman tournament where they get many many kids to compete in it so they can all merit.

They are pure debate, so I don't know if they do well nationally. I wouldn't think they do THAT well. I'm sure they have a few breaks in CX, but I think that's about it.

That's a lot like manchester essex (#36). Not that I don't like them, I do have friends from there, but you NEVER see them at speech tournaments they ONLY do debate. Actually I always thought they were such a terrible school because I only ever see them failing at speech, and then I saw that lists and realized they a really good at debate.

But it kind of annoys me actually that they're up there and schools like Milton Academy aren't. Does anyone know how many of those schools do only/mostly debate? Because I think it's a lot.

James Logan and Eagan are pretty much perennial powers

I seem to remember Sioux Falls doing well... and Apple Valley seems to do well too. Those were the only ones that I really recognized on that list... keep in mind, my national experience consisted of Salt Lake City in 04. But that year I also went to Glenbrooks, Emory, Harvard, and Wake Forest... so I got some national experience there...

Cherry Creek from CO is a big school here, but they've never really been big at Nats. I know that Denver East has been big in the past (made a person into the 04 and 05 finals), although they are sending any real big hitters this year. Rocky Mountian (my school) has been a power house in CO, and we are sending 2 to Nats (one is me), so, we will see what happens

Chesterton HS has more National Champions in Interp/Speech than any other high school. Check the record books if you are unaware of this.

Chesterton HS won the National Title 5 times in a row. (When they had a NFL sweepstakes). They were unbeatable at one time, and they are now very strong.

Their head coach, Joe Wycoff, most succesful coach of all time coaches at Apple Valley HS, MN now, after 30 years at Chesterton.

Plymouth, Munster, Laporte HS.... these are all great Indiana teams. Both Munster and Plymouth have had final round contenders in every event and national champions. LaPorte does well in Congress.

Glenbrook South is incredible. Downers Grove South is incredible. Carl Sandburg HS has had national success. H-F "had" much national success before their head coach retired from the public school system.

Lakeville HS, Apple Valley HS, Eagan HS, James Logan HS, Leland HS, Eastview HS, Lodi HS, Bellermine Prep Brookefield HS, University School, Nova, Trinity, Churchill HS, Gregory Portland HS, Southlake Carroll HS, Plano HS, Dayton, Ohio (forgot the hs name), Brentwood Academy HS, Milton Academy, Holy Ghost Prep, Danville HS, Randolph HS, Desert Mountain HS, Denver Kent HS...

These are the money players, from I know of at NFL. Add to the list!
