    Default Question

I have picked up a poetry program for a tourney two weeks from now, and I am in the middle of polishing it, and I was wondering if "acting" out your poetry was acceptable...ex. I have a poem where the narrator is watching tv, would it be acceptable to flip channels etc.? I am rather new to this event, and all your help would be great! Thanks

i don't know your piece, but in general it depends on what you think would best enhance your speech. gestures/movement for the sake of having them is silly. you will look fake. but if it has a purpose and naturally flows out of your interpretation of the poem, then you're okay.
