Extemp Alternates

It looks as though Ms. Otto may not be joining us in our jouney to NCFL Nationals or NFL Nationals. I'll let her explain her reasons, at her leisure, if she so wishes.

This does mean that alternates may be advancing to nationals. Quentin Johnson was next-out for KCFL in extemp, taking fourth place after myself, Ms. Otto, and Mr. Stroup. But who is next-out in USX for NFL? Ariel Perkins already has a bid in USX, but she took fourth place I believe. So who's going if Ms. Otto can't?

If I remember correctly, the KYNFL finalists in USX were:

Courtney Otto - may not go
Brice Acree - IX
Spencer Greenhaulgh - Congress
Chelsea Darnell - Congress
Ariel Perkins - USX
Ashley Adkins - IX

Yikes, that'd be crazy. Since NFL several years ago allowed for people to only go in one event there has been a crazy set of switching places.

IF Otto doesn't attend (and your list of finalists are right Brice, which I'm sure they are) the KY NFL District would have to go ALL THE WAY BACK to semi-finals. Thus, you could have someone who finished 7th in the tournament getting to go to NFL Nationals in USX. Pretty crazy, eh?

Who were the semi-finalists, anyway?

I have no clue. But, if by some odd chance that Ashley Adkins signed for USX (I don't believe she did) then she would switch to USX, and Victor Farrar would shift up to the IX slot.

Just wishful thinking.

Well that sure does change a lot, but I guess in IX thats what I get for going overtime and whatever I did in USX I still haven't heard what I placed, but IF the case is that I will have a bid for CFL then I will be going since I will be up there anyway with my sister (competing in Duo.

I know Brian Huot and myself both semi-d in USX. I'm not sure who else did. I want to say that Chad Reese did, but since he's already going in Senate... yeah.

Ashley Adkins
Spencer Greenhaughl
Quentin Johnson

There was one more person but I know it wasn't Chelsea she did IX and debate, so I figure it will be whoever didn't place seventh will get the bid for NFL.

Due to the current circumstances, Courtney will definately not be attending NCFL Grand Nationals this year. It is unfortunate, but it must happen.

Therefore, I welcome Mr. Quentin Johnson to the gang of us traveling to Milwaukee in a couple of weeks.
