I'll say...Hawai'i. They're so far away, and no one considers them a real state anyway.
I think they'll ask for independence, and the declaration will be put in a pile of stuff to do in the White House. But they'll just never get around to it. It'll be forgotten, and the Hawaiian senators and congressmen will just leave like:
Hawai'i Guy: Okay, I'm going back to my home country now.
Rest of Washington: Wh-wh-whaaaat?
HG: Yeah, didn't you hear, we're independent now! Thanks for the Pearl Harbor back up and everything, but I think we're good now.
