Evolution V. Creation...Fight!

I think the major flaw of creationism is the lack of empirical data. Evolution, on the other hand, has numerous empirical data backing it up. For example, the law of gravity is a widely accepted law and almost no one would argue it otherwise. Why? Because of the obeservable data. I, along with other FSMers, can say that the FSM's invisible, intangible hand is pulling us all down. But that would be silly... it has no fact to support it. Creationism is the same way. I suggest you to read "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkin(s?) if you are interested in my arguement: a word of warning though, if you are a die hard Christian, you WILL be offended by the book.

I personally believe in evolution, but respect the beliefs of all religions as per Mill's Marketplace of Ideas. However, if one does believe in creationism then one can NEVER win a debate on it. Why? Because the only "proof" of it is the fact that a book exists detailing it. It would be easier to go read a book like Harry Potter (if you don't think that it is witchcraft) and to prove its factual correctness because at least the author is alive and credible. Some things in the BIble have happened, some haven't. All I'm saying is that creationists should just give up because it is impossible for them to win.
Moreover, why is it that some take the Bible so literally? Take the whole thing as a parable dictating the moral actions in life. The story of creationism just means that God can do whatever he wants, that is if you want to believe in God. But thats another subject for another forum.
In short, creationists stop typing, you can't win, even most Christians believe in some form of evolution, it has been proven, God hasn't been. You can't win.
