I hate when girls wear uncomfortable heels, then complain about them... Why not find comfortable shoes?

I wear my marching band shoes to tournaments. (Hey, they're black!)
Last year in demo one guy did a speech about fish tank stuff and he tied it into
the release of "Finding Nemo" so he wore a Finding Nemo tie.
'cos 9 times out of 10, comfortable = hideous.Originally Posted by MauldinDebater

As a judge, I'll always give the nod to the girl wearing sneakers vs. stilletos, all other things equal. She's SMART.Originally Posted by A-Hoff

ok, point taken in as far as if your shoes are negatively affecting your performance, you shouldn't be wearing them. BUT, there is absolutely NO excuse for wearing sneakers with a suit. EVER. I don't care how comfortable they are, they are absolutely inexcusable. Looking smart and professional is part of the total package, and wearing sneakers just ruins the whole presentation. It is possible to wear shoes with a lower heel, or even flats, but sneakers are just.....completely wrong. Not to mention it's nearly impossible to pop in rubber soled shoes.
and as for shoe choice and it's effect on judges....Erica Dasher once gave me a much appreciated 3 along with the comment "I love your shoes!"

Fair point.
One judge gave me a four: "Your analysis was well-thought out. Your intro was good, tying in right with the topic. You need to get your shoes shined. Tough Round." 4
