I was complimented by quite a few judges (outside of rounds, coach judges) on how I looked . . . amazing improvement since last year, apparently.
My Expos is all artsy, so I will soon be getting a skirt that will 1) still go with my basic black jacket and 2) look more like something an 'artist' would wear. I'm thinking polka dots on a black background. Similar to my current skirt (which earned the comliments) but not as much pink. I think I hate pink. Wearing pink and doing dishes between rounds kind of makes me feel pre-WW2-ish. I hate that feeling . . .
I'm going to go out and shopxcore for button up shirts to go underneath my jacket. I have learned that I DESPISE wearing t's under the jacket. I'm getting a bunch of long sleeved button downs. And more skirting options.
If we burn her, she gets stuffed in the flames, crackle crackle crackle, which is a bit of a surprise if she's not quite dead. "I don't know what state you're from, but fornicating in the prep room is not protocol in California."
Anybody go to ASU and see the duo team with opposite suits black and white?
that was the greatest thing ever
Black suit, white tie, white socks
White suit, black tie, black socks
i laughed

I think what I did at Blue Key is going to pretty much be what I go by for this year.
I stick to gray and black pants suits for prelims and semi rounds.
Gray/Black Skirt suits for final rounds.
& Cute, comfortable shoes.
Gotta love the shoes. :P
I have three main outfits
Black Pant suit with white satin collar with black polka dots that buttons in
black pumps
Brown pants cream sweater matching shoes
Cute little plaid pants, corderouy blazer, white shirt, light pink pumps
Whats the point of debating if you never make someone cry? MSA 2005 Boomba Hey
i own like two skirt/pant suits and i don't think i've ever worn either of them to a tournament. seeing as how i'm not exactly a giant those things tend to swallow up all five feet of me. i've found a love for long pants, dark pumps, and button up shirts with little cutesy things on top.
why yes...i dissect bodies on the weekend...
my girlfriend got me a purple dress shirt for X-max
i'm excited.

I got 3-4 suits for Christmas, nobody knew what I really wanted, so they took the "safe" route. I'm happy either way :] They also got me that NFL tie, haha.

I mean, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with wearing a pretty good suit that a good portion of the forensics population at these tournaments stare at, but, I think it's more respectable to have a black suit, plain, etc. and be known for your event(s) than have a colored suit that's all nice & fritzy and not be known for pretty much anything, mainly because everyone will be looking at your talent when there standing up to clap for you when you get that first place trophy, not your suit.
the only nude hose rule is a bit weird, but i can understand it since colored hose can sometimes be distracting...but its still a bit odd, and as for the closed toes shoes thing, i dont think that's weird...people dont like feet...we have that rule at our school
as for the black suit thing, yeah i can see where you're coming from. i myself have a brown suit (and i AM brown ha ha!) but i have a black suit too. i think interp is more about the person you're becoming, and not the clothes you wear so long as you're clean and professional...i dont think it matters i guess.
