For those of you who are applying to college in the fall or have already graduated, how did you market/present your HS speech career? I'm still trying to figure out what to do, so I'm wondering what other people have done.
Thanks,
Ariel

You know you're a Congress kid when... - you address the room as "Senators" in your impromptu speech - you love your pocket Constitution - when bored you think up corny ways to ask people to prom in a Congress round
I'm not quite sure what you mean. I don't recall "marketing" anything. In the section of the application where it asks you to fill out your activities, just put down speech, and any significant positions or awards you've won (Team Captain, State Champion, Etc.) If you feel that speech is really important to you, consider writing about it to answer one of the short essays or even write your main essay about it. It's my understanding that speech is popular enough with most college admissions people that you don't have to "market" it for it to be noticed.
i still haven't decided what to do about that. i'm actually still trying to decide where to go, and my dad is all on my case about it. you know, "you need to hurry up, scholarships won't be around forever, you've always wanted to do this and you'd be good at it, blah blah blah..." it's annoying. he seems to think that my life revolves around journalism. which it does, but not to the extent he's thinking.
who is General Failure, and why is he reading my hard disk?
