You qualify in an event for nationals (Drama, Humor, Duo, OO, IX, USX, Debate). If you don't break top 60 in an event, you go into suplemental events (prose, poetry). If you don't break top thirty in your original event, or you get cut after two rounds of your supplemental event, you then go into consolitory events (storytelling, impromptu). There are other supps and console events, but I'm not sure which are which, but I can look it up if people want.

Then you go to Consolitory Events.....and if you lose right away in those, you're done

I think the limit for poetry at nats is 5 mins.
At least that's the limit for Prose.

The word is overconfident. Have you ever heard that saying, don't speak it unless you can spell it. Have you ever been to Nats before????
