    And also when I did DEC I did not talk about when/where the speech was given. I just talked about the point the intro made and said the name of the speech and who it was by and then continued with the speech.

    idk somebody like a famous model like gisele and compare it to some celebrity who most people dont find attractive. i dont want to give you all the answers, though. ill leave it up to you to decide. the intro has to be your own.

    And I don't think you need a joke in your intro. For most OO's the humor is covered. You have a serious message you want to get across. It seems like the joke almost belittles your position on the topic and makes you seem less convincing. And I agree with Adam. Megan Fox, Paris Hilton, etc. =CLICHE. And the Mother Theresa jab is also questionable. But I think it's mostly there.

    i actually think a joke would be helpful to the speech. it shows personality of the speaker, making them a performer rather than a drone.

    Maybe you should sit down in your intro. Its a new idea. Talk to acon11 hes pretty good at that kind of thing
