My bad. . . I saw it as prose. The guy did Edward's speech on how he at first was intoxicated by the smell of her blood but then grew to love her. It was great. I broke to two finals last weekend, prose and dramatic so I accidentally got a little confused.

Kelsey Segaloff from Florida is doing a parody of Twilight to avoid being dq'd on author's intent. So be careful with doing the actual book. Kelsey's has done very well so far this year and is predicted to do as well at Harvard.
Jared Norman from the Colorado Grande region definitely just qualified for Nationals doing "Twilight." I'd recommend doing it, but I couldn't offer any advice on how to cut it.
I personally would avoid doing something like Twilight, especially if you are going for originality. With the way things are looking, I could see a Twilight HI and Duo going pretty far at nationals just based on how many different speakers and going with that script.
Also I've seen several attempts at Twilight as a speech but I've never actually been all that impressed with the result. But if it's something that you want to do, don't let my bias (meaning my dislike for Twilight) stop you.
There is a kid in Colorado who is doing it. He qualified to State and to Nationals with Twilight. Also, there was a duo from the series that had some success.
I've seen Twilight done a lot in HI and I've never been impressed. Its always okay but it seems like everyone always make the same jokes and its never original.
