Default The Forensics Forum @ www.afareps.org

In an effort to fight a lack of dialogue within the college speech community, this past year Jose Magana started The Forensics Forum @ www.afareps.org . This forum allows competitors, coaches, alumni, and anyone else interested in the growth and progress of college forensics to communicate their concerns, not only to receive feedback by the mass populace, but also to have their needs directly fed up to those who can change the activity.

While the site is at afareps.org, it is not just limited to AFA-NIET matters. The site is connected with leadership of the AFA-NIET, NFA, Phi Rho Pi, etc. Any and all matters related to forensic speech are welcome, as well as any other general discussion you want to voice in on.

If you have a suggestion to improve college speech, a new event that you think should be added or just want to talk about the state of affairs with your fellow competitors, this message board provides a great venue. Some sample topics and current issues are things like the redistricting of district 9, the movement of DUO to another pattern, cross examination in communication analysis and the introduction of unified guidelines for judges.

The site was originally created and operated by ASU's Jose Magana (AFA-NIET National Representative 07-08 ). While Jose has graduated, he has handed off operation of the site to GCC(CA)'s Robert Cannon (AFA-NIET National Representative 08-09) and myself, FSU's Ryan Cohn (NFA National Representative 07-09). If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I'm sticking to the "You were rushing me," excuse.

I'll get you, Ryan! Series is tied 1-1.

We don't go by who won individual games; we keep a running tally of +/-. Next time, I'm going to get a chess timer just to mess with you even more.
