Resolved: The United States is losing the War on Terror.

I think this is the best topic yet. What do you think?

Personally, I love this topic. It is so broad and open to different arguments. Janurary is going to rock because we have 3 big tourneys and this topic now. I love it! This and October's topic are my fav. just because they are foreign somewhat.

Yeah we should do topics that have more things to do with the outside world instead of just domestic debate.

Domestic debate gets old really fast

I love this topic! It finally gives debaters a chance to completely say what they think about major political events.

The only problem I can see is that some of the judges (since they are supposed to be lay) may have a lot of personal biases.

Otherwise, I think this is a great topic for debaters to really speak their mind. They can piss on the current administration and go hog wild. Ok maybe not hog wild, but I envision a lot of fun with this topic. It almost makes me want to drop CX and do TTD at district.

That's always a given. Which is what sucks about certain topics in debate at times.
