Has anyone seen this piece or heard of it? It's by Whoopie Goldberg. She performed it on Broadway. However, the script is difficult to find. Any idea where to locate the script? Was it ever published?

Don't even bother with that script. it is so tainted. It's not published/never has been. Do a search for whoopi's literary agent and get ahold of that person. They will tell you the same thing.

Actually, it is published. It is on a CD, and it is from Whoopi's one woman play called "spook."

zctually, if you read the new IHSA bi-laws you would realize that it IS considered published. I just rgaduated Hs and coach and judge, and I have been thru extensive sessions over the IHSA, and it IS published!

The Whoopi Goldberg play is called "The Spook Show" and it is published in print form. I have it. I have seen it and read it. Legal.

Hey, Snazzyboy, or anybody else out there! Can you PLEASE tell me where "The Spook Show" is published? What book is it in? I'm getting desperate here.

Wow you guys sure are smart. Too bad you don't bother reading the things you own/ use for publication. Even a brief and general skimming of "The Spook Show" will show you that crippled lady isn't in it. If you're looking to use it you would have to transcribe it from the cd and that clearly goes against the rules of every sanction I've ever looked into.

Surfer Chick is in The Spook Show ..... West Coast Plays 21-22

Crippled Lady -- the CD copy I have has the words in the sheet cover but it is still a CD not print form according to the publication rules.

Good luck searching for this one...

This girl from a city near me did it and broke to finals with it. Personally I didn't like it. But I suppose it could be done well.

It is published somewhere.
My sister performed it her Junior year. Semied Harvard with it.

It was in final round of DI at nationals in 2000 and got third place.
