Junie b jones

If someone did a junie b jones prose pies could you take them seriously? Also, would it be like piece suicide???

From what I gather EVERYONE is doing Junie B Jones across several events. I would stay away. And my little cousin reads Junie B. Not that young adult lit can't be sophisticated (some YAL titles are "deeper" than some adult novels). But I read a little bit of Junie B and I couldn't get over the style. You definitely will get a few judges who would prefer a YAL story that doesn't try so hard to sound young.
