The Next Step?

So I have been fortunate that I have had a lot of success. However I know there is a lot of room to improve, I'm not always in finals, and I don't win a lot of them. So I was wondering, how do I take the next step. How do I go from pretty good to amazing. Any thoughts would help, thanks.
