I always find it helpful if I know how people are doing throughout the state, so I thought I'd make this. (:
I don't know any real results for the Apple Valley meet, but in the prose finals there was a kid who I thought was AMAZING, and he got 3rd. :/ He easily should have gotten 2nd, if not 1st. 1st I loved too, but something about 3rd really got to me. 2nd was...ok. :/ Not a big fan, it was a lot of singing and I just don't see how it beat 3rd.
*If you're any of these people who I'm talking about, sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone.

I would like to know who the big minnesota duos are this year. Since they had 4 in the national final round last year, it seems likely that they might have some contenders.

I'm not sure of any big contenders this year, but thats probably because we've only had one meet. My school has a novice team that is almost always getting 1st and is always in the 97-100 range of points. If they perfect it I think it could go a long way.

Here's a Minnesota tournament that happened recently with some pretty serious competition. Although I know no piece names, here's a link for the results. Looks like Eagan has very strong duos this year, which really is no surprise, seeing as how they had 2 duos in national finals last year.

minnesota-ians, you rock my socks off. well, I guess at speech tournaments you rock my panty hose off but that sounds kind of dirty and gross and now I am rambling so I will stop. minnesota style is so simple and clean and beautiful. it's so refreshing.
I hope to see many of you in nationals finals. : )
