Well, here it is. A thread for exit exam discussion.

More importantly, and I really want feedback from experienced users, where are you getting your topic books this year?

The ones I consider are:
Mihn Long
Victory Briefs
Big Sky

I have only used Planet Debate (Mihn Long) before, so I would really love for some feedback on others and your recommendations.

Also, in case you haven't seen yet, this is a useful little report, as far as free reports go: http://www.forensicsonline.net/forum/local_links.php?catid=7

yes using briefs In LD is kinda stupid.
I've seen more rounds won on good philosophy, some good evidence found in books or the internet, and good arguments.
and if you can't make good arguments, using briefs are a waste of money anyhows
mostly the whole brief business got started because some debaters were too lazy to find evidence.
Where do you think these briefs find their evidence?
the internet and college librarys, combined with some evidence a college debate team may have stockpiled from college librarys and the internet.
do your own research!

good place to start (for free) is debatepedia
usually you can find stock arguments and evidence you can modify and use
