Is there any tournaments In Washington State?

I was woundering if there were any tournaments in Washington State becuase i am a high school student and i did foresnics when i was in Virginia and at the school i am at now there is no forensics teams. I was hopeing to start a team here but i need to know if there is any tournaments In this state at all. I so hope there is

There definitely is Forensics activity in Washington. I'm not sure about local tournaments in the state because I live in a different one, but Whitman College in Walla Walla has a tournament from November 5-7. Western Washignton University has a strong college program which probably means they have a high school tournament. Also, the WIAA hosts the State competition. You could probably travel independently or join up to travel with another school. Also, for National Qualifying Tournaments, there is the Western Washington District Qualifying touranment at Federal Way HS from March 5-7, 2010. There might be another league, but I don't know. Find the closest high school to where you live that has a team, and ask their coach about more stuff. That's all I know. Hope it helps.

Hey dude... The closest high schools from you, who have a forensics team, are Snohomish, Mt. Vernon, and many many more. I would call either one of the schools, ask about who to talk to about maybe starting a team for your school and what you might need. Or... maybe you should get a school transfer to one of those schools.

Well, I knew that there were teams from Washington that compete at some Oregon tournaments (where I live), and so forensics had to exist in their State. You can also go on the NFL website (nflonline.org) and go to the NFL points link at the top right hand corner of the page to see what districts are in Washington and which schools compete in the NFL. For the college tournaments, they were just tournaments I had heard about fro other forensicators. As the season gets rollin', you can probably also go on joyoftournaments.com to see if there are tournaments in Washington coming up. You can find info about state competition on the WIAA website. And if you haven't tried it already, if you type in Washington State High School Speech and Debate into google, you should get plenty of info.:)
