So, since this is getting kinda dead in here, i wanna know which schools everyone thinks are going to have extremely strong programs this year (*Ahem* Mesa Ridge) and who the biggest surprises are going to be; who's falling off and who is going to be the next great person and pull up and win nationals (*Ahem* Adam Kretz and Gage Mazurowski in Public Forum). What are your thoughts?????
Random poster not named Adam Kretz and not from Mesa Ridge High School.

Well, I think that Cherry Creek from Denver is always strong and they will be very strong this year. Also East will be stronger this year. I think after a good showing last year, Kent will drop off a bit. they will still have strong debate but I think events side will be very weak. Durango should have a killer year this year! Littleton has a ton of talent in the Colorado area.
Wyoming...it is always Cheyenne East! Enough said

Durango won't be as strong last year (most state finalists and champ in FX as well as 5th place, as well as a semi-finalist the thrid place DX speaker, both the third place CX teams, and a Duo team that would have done well if they had gone :))., but we will still be fairly strong. Scott Chessewright, who placed 17th in the nation as a sophmore, will be back, so get out of the way in FX. We have three retruning interp national qualifier (one interp double qualifer). Our third place CX team went to a month long CX camp and has flat out domintated so far (6-0). Look to the FX champ and the CX champs to come from Durango, and perhaps as many as 3-4 other finalists. We have a very strong oratory program this year, as well as two veteran LDers. I'm not predicting anything, but if Scott doesn't final this year, it will be becasue of luck, not because of lack of work ethic.

Niwot's humor boys are always hot stuff. Our coach is insistent that we become the Ted Turner Mecca. But, I swear that I will never ever touch that wretched event.

I hate to disagree with Lions #1, but I think Kent will have another excellent team this year, as evidenced by their winning sweeps at DPS and East/Creek.
