Best girl decs

Hey guys! Does anyone have some good suggestions for girl decs that could win? Perhaps a speech that has an inspirational story in it or calls for evoking a lot of emotion??

Hmm well I've seen some Michelle Obama speeches as dec pieces that have finaled before... those are pretty good. Very well-written and great for a female.

hmmm let me think. i was in NCFL finals in 2008 (I placed 2nd). I have seen many good girl decs before. here are some that I liked:

"Women's Rights are Human Rights" - Hilary Clinton
"Rainbow in the Clouds" - Maya Angelou
"Seven for '07" - Katie Couric (this was a commencement address)
"And God Was Speaking to Me" - ???
"Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish" - Steve Jobs (yes, I have seen this done by a girl before, and it did very well)

Here are some that I have seen on paper that could have potential:

"Declaration of Conscience" - Margaret Chase Smith

Through the glass ceilling by Meryl streep is very good because it has an actual meassage and some funny parts.

my team mate did the steven jobs, and it went well for her. I saw a really good elli wiesel speech at a local where i judged.

Bring on the Cheesecake is good and any speech by a Weiner girl is effective- but these would all be old oratories
