Following an intensive polling of the state, we have set the site for NFL Virginia States and the NFL National Qualifier:
The University of Virginia
January 23/24
This tournament will feature all NFL Speech Events, Debate Events, and Congress. The top 3 in each NFL Speech or Debate Event secure a bid to NFL Nationals this summer in Birmingham. The top two from the Senate and the top speaker in each house will gain a bid to Nationals. (so we want four houses this year... meaning 91 students in Congress)
We will also offer Supplemental VaFL events (Prose, Poetry, Impromptu, Storytelling) alongside the other events. These events will not advance to Nationals.
This looks to be the biggest NFL Virignia States EVER... we are looking for 40 schools to attend. The judging, hosting, and awards will be amazing.
MUST be an NFL member school to attend... so make sure with your coach that your paperwork is in. All schools in VaFL (NoVaFL, ShenVaFL, SWVaFL, and CenVaFL) are automatic members.
Go to http://vanfl.org/states (http://vanfl.org/states) after this weekend and all information will be updated and ready to go.
