Does anyone have the results from NFA. I know Adam Sharples won Prose, Emma won DI and Duo. But I dont know places or anything else from the tourney?

Did anyone see NFA poetry or prose interp finals?

What was in each? Topics? Pieces? Competitors? Arguments?

Just curious, haven't heard much...

I watched prose finals.

It was a beautiful round.

I personally would have put Anne Wilborn over Sharples, and I think Jess Clarke's incredibly innovative piece is amazing, but I really can't complain about any of the placements. It was a very very solid round.

I watched poetry finals and found out I hit 2 finalists during the prelims (one of the rounds happened to have a semi and quarterfinalist in it as well)...so I wasn't that depressed about not breaking

Topics:

Adam Swanson: The Body is a Temple
Clarence Ball: African American History is more than just slavery
Saeed Jones: Something about how blood and family doesn't define who you are
Emambu Atabong: The subtleness of patriarchy in society
Dan Johnson: Father-son relationship
Adam Sharples: Gay fatigue in society

So who did win the tournament, and who should have won the tournament, in your opinion?

Um, I don't know if it's appropriate to discuss that sort of business. Let's just respect the decisions that were made, and applaud the winners.

Personally, I say if you managed to make the final round, you deserved to win. Everything that I saw was top quality.
