Team Speech Camps

Have any coaches/competitors on the forums held/attended a team speech camp? A camp put on by the coaches from the school for the next year's team?

Our school is thinking about this idea, and I was wondering if you had any opinions on it, or different ideas about what kind of things to do during camp.

The team captains my senior year of speech held one.

It was in two parts:
1) Camp of incoming freshmen who knew they wanted to be on the team. This was time spent seeing pieces and learning about the events etc.

2) Camp for returning students was spent finding pieces, building extemp files, practicing writing bills etc.

It worked out well because we got some of the really hard work out of the way before the distraction of school really kicked in, and our varsity was much more prepared for the season.
