Alright, so it's Adam again and I am wondering, who is going to what tournaments and when??? Where is everyone wanting to go and who do you think is the biggest competition in your events this year????

I think our team is going DPS in Denver, Univ of Wyoming (great tourney), Turkey meet at East H.S., Glenbrooks, Overland, and Winter Wonder @ Cherry Creek.
That is all I know right now. I think it is a wide open year, some good returners from last year, but I think it will be wide open in a lot of events.

good luck to everyone.

What is up Adam?! Hey, Tango in Durango is going to be a pretty good meet this year and it will include Mr. 17th in the Nation as a sophmore (Scotty boy). *Jeff bows down to Scott*. Kretz, what tournies are you guys going to? Are you still doing TT? How does your interp team look this year. Lion, where do you go? I go to Durango in case you hadn't guessed./ BTW Tango is Nov. 6-7

Hey there Jeff, if the big dance is gonna be a varsity meet i may just have to get my coach to bring us, would be a great tune-up; our interps are looking strong, heads up for a few Duo teams to break out (including my buds greggy boy and chuck doing Everyone's Gonna Die). still doing the TT, but breaking into IX too, *Adam also bows down to Scott* so he'll rape me but its ok; oh well, guess i'm spent.....

Our tourney is going to be bracketed for cx & ld, but there won't be ted turner. We're going to allow 12 policy teams & 8 lders, but only one lder & one policy debater are allowed per school. for all the other debaters, we're having a gigantic congress tournament. The interpers can enter as many different events as they want, they can even triple enter if they want to. you all should come.

Okay, it's just Adam again. Wondering who in the forum will be heading up to both Northridge's "Fire on the Ridge" on the 1st of Nov. or Arvada-Pomona's "Red and Blue" on the 22nd???? Mesa is sending about 25 each, including the pimpest congressman eva (me), so beware......j/k. hopefully we'll see you all there.

How did everyone do on the first weekend of Varsity Speech in Colorado?
DPS was a great tournament! Great job to the East Team, Littleton and the tournament Champions Kent Denver School (second year in a row!) Would love to hear how other teams did!

Sorry, didn't go to DPS, but Mesa did go to fire on the ridge @ Northridge High School, cool tournament, ran real smoothly. Mesa and Rocky Mountain duked it out much of the day, especially in congress and eventually Mesa took 2nd and Rocky 1st in sweeps, also both dominating Congress much of the day. The interps were rocked by Pomona, but debate was def a NoCo thing, with Rocky and Skyline having good showings, with the exception of Mesa having 2, 3, and 6 place in Public Forum. Hope everyone had a good time...

Didn't go this weekend, but Niwot also went to Northridge...and it seems we did well in interp and creative storytelling. I heard there was a screw-up with the sweeps awards...anyone know anything?

The Northridge Tournament was definately a great tournament in my book. I had an absolute blast! I'm sure if DPS hadn't been going on there would have been many more schools there. It was a little odd doing impromptu congress but I had a blast. I want to give some serious props to Evan from Greeley West. This kid got Outsanding speaker in my house was easily the funniest person I spoke to all day. His main speech was on a resolution to make women elegible for the draft. Evan gave the infamous "baby factory" speech was hilarious. Great job dude.

We didn't go to DPS this year.

We were just at the Turkey Meet (Creek-East) today. One duo team broke, and I missed semis in drama by a speaker point. Curses! ;-)

Off the top of my head, I know we will be going to Greeley Central, Overland, we're hosting Sweeps and Columbine Invite, I'm pretty sure we are going to Cheyenne and Golden-Mullen, but I'm not quite positive about the 04 tourneys yet. I don't know if we will be going to Berkeley this year. We have a very, very low budget :(

We lost a lot of debaters last year, and our debate side is quite small but I have high hopes. Interp is strong, but could be stronger.
