I recently discovered that I need 5 peices for 4n6 camp by friday. Apparently everyone else got the email 2 weeks ago... Anyway, I'm having a bit of trouble because this is my first year doing DI. Most of the peices I've found I can't really pull off because it's not believable that I would be a greiving wife or anything like that... I'm just too small. So if anyone knows any peices for a younger-looking teenage girl, please let me know! Thanks!

Spoonface Steinberg might work for you. It's about a little autistic girl with terminal cancer.

Also, I personally can't stand this piece but the piece "My Mother's Touch" (I don't know the author) has a main character of a girl with a very variable age.

Okay, that's all I can think of right now, but I hope that helps!!

What speech camp makes you bring pieces? I thought finding pieces was the whole point of camp.

Maybe I'm just old and jaded.

I think it's better.
When i went to camp, i wasted too much time memorizing.
my friends are going to a camp right now and they memorized pieces beforehand, i think

We're supposed to bring a bunch so it will be easier to choose I guess... it's only a week long so I guess they don't want to waste any time.

And thanks to Justine for the peices!

No problem :)

I'm assuming you're going to one of those camps that your school runs near the end of the summer, right? Because my school is having one of those this summer for the two high schools in our town and we require that you have a piece or a few prospective pieces to go there.

Good luck!

My school starts in september, which i guess is near the end of the summer, so yea. Going to camp is just highly reccomended, especially now that all of our amazing seniors have graduated and we have no speech juniors. You kinda have to fend for yourself, which makes it rather difficult. I wish we had a school camp. I think that would be really cool.

Yeah, I know a lot of people were doing it a few years ago (myself included) but I still love it, and the character is 12 or 13 or something.

As far as I know, I'm the only boy ever to have done it.

Sweet.
