"Three Swine of...Stature"

Sure. We all the know the Summary. But, I am looking for a true review of someone who has read/seen it.

1. What are your thoughts on this piece and the performances that you have seen with it.

Novice piece?

We do? Maybe I'm out of the loop, but I don't think I've ever heard of it...

Am I right in guessing it's a remake of "The Three Little Pigs?" :D

It is a fun, short, humorous piece. there is a lot of potential for being creative with character voices, technical schtick.

Mehh Its a pretty funny piece. ITs just another three little pigs story. I saw two asian girls did it and they turned it COMPLETELY into Asian humor. We hit them at Columbia..they got 1st and we got 3rd. We also hit them at Nats and i think they made it to quarters. But I cant see this piece being THAT funny without the asian humor. Never actually read the script though..

I saw this piece at nationals in 2005. Its really very funny, a lot of potential for charaters and tech. The guy I saw do it did an asian narrator and squatted the entire time as the character. I think it would be a great piece to do.

Is it most effective to cast the characters as Asians? Does the piece require that the characters are Asians? Thanks

Since this is the only version of the piece I've seen (they were from my league), I don't know how much of the so-called Asian humor was a creative decision on the part of the team, or was actually written into the script. It seemed to me at least that the piece was written to have Asian characters.

you know, I really don't think the piece is written to be played asian, you could probably get away with being whatever type of character you please. Good luck if you choose to do it.

You could get away with it, but i don't think It would be funny. Asian humor is hillarious, period.
