the parallel lives series some i've seen done as girl/girl.

there are probably some good dramas out there as well, maybe about woman power... discrimination, abuse, whatever.

I forgot the author, but its a pretty popular series.

You may also look into interpable books such as sideways stories (i've seen done as girl/girl) or anything silly.

for dramatic duos, you can find stuff on bakersplays, dramatists, etc.

parallel lives is good stuff! i'm looking at that as my piece this year for HI... check out "Plays for Actresses" at bn.com... it's a compliation of a ton of short plays that have all female casts. there is a lot of good stuff in there. my duet (and duo for NFL) came from there... sooooo

Las Hermanas is a truly hilarious speech, and Final Placement is also very good. Tongue of bird good good also. Graceland decent. A girlsa guide to chaos pretty cool. Vampire lesbians from sodom very good also.

i have a question. what if it is a boy/girl piece but performed by a girl/girl team? i do that... tho... there is nowhere in the cutting where it actually says that one of the characters is a guy

There's a play available from Dramatists called Yard Gals. It's a little mature in language and subject matter, but it's one of the best duo's I've ever seen. Dramatists might also have the preview script of Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical available. It would be worth looking into. I find girls have an easier time playing guys than vice-versa. The Drama Tree/Ye Little Drama Shop stuff is also good. There is also a book available on amazon.com and bn.com that has lots of forensic duos. I haven't had a chance to read all the scripts, but it's a pretty good starting point. Since the book was just published, it's fresh material. (Always a bonus.)

Duo Practice and Performance: Thirty-Five 8-10 Minute Original Dramatic Scenes, Vol. 2

I would also recommend having a look at http://www.blackcoffeepublishing.com/ Adam Black and his crew are talented writers. You might find something there.

Another idea is Tibetian Tree Frog. My old coach really likes their stuff. It's also quality material at a really good price. Website addy:

Well, I hope that helps. Lots of good material out there. I also hear there's a new publication starting up in early September that will have good forensic scripts. I'll post that when I find the website address or get any more details.

Best of luck on the new season!

Cheers.

Hmmmm. That's an interesting point.

I think hat in drama girls playing guys goes over better, but in humor guys playing girls does. Why? Men playing women--- usually funny, women playing men--- usually not. Then again, in drama, it is hard for a guy to play a girl believably and make it not funny--- so there I think girls have the edge.

I ordered all of the plays from dramatree press. They have some great fem/fem scripts. My partner and I are going to tear it up with the script from them (it's called-Some day you'll find it.)

You can find them at: www.dramatree.com

well, I will tell you that for a Novie, a duo called "Women In Flames" by Mary Garripoli is great F/F piece. Also look at "The Odd Couple:Female Version" by Neil Simon.
