Hey, my first recommendation when you are truly, truly interested in finding pieces.....
Spend time at Public Library
Spend time at Local Book Stores
check out various site....... to read about plays
http://www.samuelfrench.com
http://www.dramatists.com
http://www.playscripts.com
dramatic publishing
brooklyn publishers
mushroom cloud publishing
drama tree press
speech geek
music theatre international
once you have done some reading..... then ask about getting pieces.

 i'm from mo.
question...i'm kind of new to forensics in general outside of my local area...does mo ever make alot of noise at nationals?
Chewie

It varies.
There's some real "powerhouse" states that certainly qualify as "making a lot of noise. (California, Minnesota, Texas, Florida) But Missouri usually has at least one or two in IE finals, which can probably be attributed just to our sheer NUMBER of kids as much as anything.
Also, we always win PF. :)
Where are you from, Tyson?

She's from my school, Raymore-Peculiar. Steven's been calling me and giving me the news from nats, no breaking from RP, so we've been wondering how well Missouri usually does.

yeah...i'm from ye olde ray-pec. i realy thought tyson/coy ::they do the big bang:: would go so much further. but then again i'm new to this and i don't really know what the competition is like at nationals. but to me they were gods...and now i think i may have lost faith in forensication as a whole.

Man, Liberty. You'd always know it was them when 97 people stood up and cheered at awards.
Yes, he was the blood drive man. He's a character. =D

Hey at least we don't scream and stuff and be obnoxious (most of the time). I hate it when people get kind of obnoxious ESPECIALLY if it's on my team.

No, alot of the people on our team get really annoyed by people who do that stuff. Our coach would get REALLY angry if we did anything like that.

We're pretty good, Clayton. We sure as heck have a lot of speech and debate to go around...just not as many people on these boards. :) Welcome to FOL.

I'm a Public Forum novice from Missouri, and so far I've been to one tournament with Liberty present,(my first tournament) and we had to stay for awards because our varsity advanced, so here me and my novice friends are all happy cause like two people on our team got a trophy, and every single time they said "1st place" or "blah advances" or whatever, it was ALWAYS Liberty!!! We thought they were going to have to start debating their own team! I think their school won first place or something at that tournament, I remember cause my school was the only school who wouldn't stand, I felt really bad afterwards too. :( Anyways! I envy Liberty's schools not just for their speech and debate, but the majority of their extra-c-activties they're like amazing at it! I think I should move there.
