I wasted away my afternoon looking at videos on Google today and I came across a performance of The Wizard of Hip from final round at UC Berkley last year. I also found some weird large group interp thing of Wicked...really strange.

Just thought it would be interesting to mention.

Just go to Google, go to video, and type in wizard of hip. It should play. I had a hard time understanding what they were saying though, because everytime i turned it up loud enough to hear, that sounds started getting jumbled.

I watched that and it didn't seem that good. They must have had good characterization and facial expressions 'cause other than that I wasn't that impressed.

oh, this duo was fantastic in that final round...they won hands down. However, I was trying to wonder why people recorded this round...as it is illegal to record without the competitors permission...yes its a rule...and then I saw myself, and realized where these people were seated...they are LOGAN!!! why would logan record this?

juan, please do not make assertions like that. logan was NOT the school who recorded this. the asian male who was in the video was with the cameraman (or woman) is not a logan student.

i'm sorry if that was a bit rude but i couldn't let you slander our school's name like that. but next time, be extra careful when you assume something like that, please. thank you. :)

sorry, it's just that from the point of view that the camera angle was in, it looked like it was where the logan team was sitting, and there were lots of you guys. I totally respect everything that Logan stands for, I was just putting two and two together...sorry for the rude assumption.

'Kay...we know the "asian male in the video" is not a Logan student.

But we don't know,

1. Who shot the video (Boo Boo #1)
2. Who posted the video (Boo Boo #2)

I recall two individuals with cameras at Berkeley for that round...and both of them were "chummy" with the Logan competitors.

No slander here. I'm not saying that anyone from Logan did it, or asked someone to do it...but it was obvious from my perspective that some Logan team members know who did.

There was a camera (small DV unit) at the Duo Finals at Glenbrooks this season. The person using it was a 40ish African-American man standing off to the right. I was more focused on the performances than the "shooter" ("Holy Grassy Knoll, Batman!"), but I noticed it.

The plot thickens!

The video has been removed. If I was a conspiracy theorist (or a conspriacy actualist), I'd guess that the person who shot the video pulled it down after reading the fallout out this Forum.

alright.

I had this video before it was on google video.

Iqwak, half of the team that made up MONKEY, the berkely finalists and national semiers had sent me the tape just before nationals of last year.

He said he saw a guy filming and instead of scolding him, asked if he could get a recording of it. So they exchanged e mails and he sent it to iqwak.

Iqwak sent it to me, probobly among others and someone put it on google video.

I saw this video and then i saw this in the national semis room. This Berkely winning performance ON TAPE doesnt hold a candle to what it is like live.

Can't explain it

Chris...you are completely right about that...IT REALLY DOESN'T HOLD A CANDLE TO LIVE PERFORMANCE OF IT!!!

Right, I viewed it in Nationals octas, quarters, and semis, and the two performances had different additions and timing to them. Their perfomance at nationals, like previously mentioned, was much better than that tape could ever show.
