Terroristic activities have been called the "equalizer" to the United States. For every 10 billion dollars the US gov't spends on defense, a single well trained terrorist can cause that same amount of damage to the global economy for the price of a single boxcutter.

There have been many proposals on how to end terrorism around the world...please cast your vote for the best way to end terrorism.

1. Some argue that if the US had never intervened in world problems, no terrorist would feel the need to attack. For instance, our backing of Afghanistan versus the USSR led to the rise of ObL and the terr. training camps, and the taliban came into power.

2. Advocates of militarism believe that if the United States is able to influence every other country/political organization with it's massive military, then the US has nothing to fear because of the threat of immediate retaliation.

3. Even though the US is the single largest contributor to foreign aid funds, the fact is that most of this "aid" is tied to American industries...countries accepting this "aid" will mostly have to purchase products from american industries.

4. If the world became more equal, the the terrorists will not feel any need to "equalize" the global situation.

5. Other, please explain!

any other opinions or ideas, are welcomed and encouraged!

Just because the US gives money away, doesn't mean their problems will end. Ask a terrorist how much money they solely received from the US and their answer will probably be nothing. Terrorists have a reason to attack the US and unless we stop that reason through isolation, it will continue. Chatter is what enrages people and only through the US's persistant agravation overseas will this continue. Unless you want to bribe individual terrorists with large sums of money that counteract the numbers that Hezbolah. al Qaeda, Hamas, and the PLO offer up, it's hopeless.
