I've done everything, being a Pentathalon competitor.
The event that I do, which I don't think any of you know what it is, is Multiple Interpretation. Here in Michigan, The rules gothat in Multiple, three to eight participants, no props, costumes, set, eye contact, or touching are allowed. Only boxes, Chairs, or stools. It's the best event- you guys have no idea.
Things are different here in Michigan than any where you guys are from. If you'd like to find out more about Michigan's system, www.themifa.org.

Our school doesn't really have officers, but I'm pretty much "officer" of the speech team, seeing as I'm responsible for it posessing more than three people and for the coaching of most of them (except extempers, because we only have two novices, and they're capable of coaching themselves).

Hey, the State tourney in KY is experimenting with Group Interp. It does not sound as intense as Multiple Interp, though. Group Interp has 3-5 people, with the usual Interp rules (i.e. no touching) and you can have up to 5 chairs.

Go to www.kesda.org and click on the HANDBOOK. The rules are all in there. To sign up for it, just wait for your coach to receive the sign-up forms. I can't wait!

And, yes, Group is happening at the KEntucky State Tournament, KESDA ONLY . Group Interp has replaced POI. KESDA tries out new events every two years. So far, only one invitational has tried Group Interp this season, but there weren't enough people signed up. So tell all your friends about it and have fun!

We're really pumped. We just have no idea where we're going to get the money from. Other than that, though, it's good. I don't do anything besides impromptu, because something like 150 people try out for our team and we have only 65 spots, so double entries are frowned upon because so many people want to be on the team and there's so much talent out there- I think only four or five people are DE. If someone has to duck out of a category or they want me to shore up something else, I might do something else, but they don't have anything lined up.
