From (shockingly) CNN.com (http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/07/29/bush.poll/index.html) a couple of weeks ago.

Also, no one likes the Iraq situation (http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/08/05/bush.ap.ipsospoll.ap/index.html), either.

Why nobody like-a da Boosh?

I don't think he's a bad president. He's just not a good one. I would have voted for him in the last election if I had been of voting age.

It's sad though. The only reason I would have voted for him is because I didn't like Kerry. Elections have sunken to the level of voting for the lesser of two evils.

What? Nooooooooo! How could you possibly say that? Lesser of two evils? Where would you come up with that idea? Besides the fact that the entire political process is dependant on things that have little to nothing to do with poltical policies, and that the whole concept of popularity in of itself is ethically skewed, and that we haven't had a candidate that, as a person, we can be proud of since...ever. No, how would you ever think that politics would produce anything but the finest of individuals?

I mean, these men are the leaders of our country, the "leaders of the free world" even! And being the "greatest country in the world", our political process must be arranged such that we can at least vote for someone that we agree with...someone whose ideals and ethics and poltical policies at least somewhat align with our own? We can do that right? We certainly aren't stuck in some sort of political quagmire where the American people only have two choices, neither or which represents any of what we believe.

Lesser of two evils? Chauff!

I totally agree.
Besides, Frank, how is Kerry the worst of two evils?

I just want my gas prices to be lower than $2.00... actually, at the moment of this post, gas prices in Knoxville, TN are at $3.19 for Reg. Unleaded.. I know that's nowhere near the highest, but still... it's worth complaining about.

And on the whole Bush approval rating... I voted for him cause I liked him, I agree more with him than with John Kerry, and I thought he dealt with 9/11 fairly well. And I like to laugh at him when he talks... I think it's funny...

Those reasons are as good as any. Also, gas is never going below $2.00 again, lest we find some major domestic reserve *coughANWRcough*. Even then...I kinda doubt it. I remember feeling the same way about gas...5 years ago...except the number was 1.00 instead of 2.00.

KK, what state did you contribute your vote to? (where ya from?) I want to be able to hold some unjustified prejudices against you. :)

I'm from Tennessee, Chewie... we're a red state. Home of Senator Bill Frist and, regretfully, Al Gore... but we don't claim him. That's cool if you want to hold some sort of unjustified prejudice against me... that'll fly.

No one claims Al Gore.
