Could someone pretty please send me a good duet??? I still haven't decided if I want to do humorous or dramatic, so if you have either or both, that would be great!
Thanks!

I'm looking for something that is either knock-your-sox-off hilarious or a dramatic one where I get to yell at my partner or something very emotional. I don't know yet who my partner will be, and I'll probably be able to choose from several different people - male or female.
I don't know if this is something happening everywhere or just around here, but it seems like over the past 3 years, "humorous" duets have been getting less and less funny every tournament, and it's getting really disappointing. It makes me feel confident that with a good piece pulled off really well with a good partner, I (or we rather) could do really well in humorous duet acting.

ok, funny duo (duet)...right up my alley, love them, love them. it would really be helpful to know if your partner will be male or female. an educated guess would be nice. erm...what are some the duos that you were talking about that weren't so funny. that way, i'll know not to go there. what type of humor do enjoy performing most and what type do you not like at all.

Here's the deal: I don't really know who I want to have as my speech partner next year. There are several people on our team who would do it with me. The thing is, I've never had luck finding a steady duet partner. They always drop on me. Very frustrating. So, it's hard for me to decide who to try to work with. I was kind of thinking that I would try to find a piece I really like, then find someone who I can do it with.
I don't really know of anything really specific that I didn't like. I seem to remember seeing pieces one or 2 years ago that had the whole audience laughing like crazy at every line. Some of these (like one a couple of my friends did) almost bordered on or turned to slapstick comedy. I guess that kind of stuff is what I love- if that helps at all. This past year, pretty much ever piece I watched was long, drawn out, and NOT FUNNY. It got very disheartening.

A lot of time it isnt the script thats funny... its the people.....
I mean its totally about what you do, yes it helps if the piece is somewhat funny.... but you can take a new twist on anything......
First in hi this year in texas was mary poppins, and the miracle worker semied.... there doing peter pan together at nats.....
i mean it all depends.... i would rather work with a funny script, but you might also want to look into other stuff......
And you said "a dramatic one where I get to yell at my partner or something very emotional"
Well theres nothing wrong wiht yelling, but its rather annoying..... try to find something... real and honest....... for dramatic works a lot better
Well i have a lot of pieces.... i can send u something if u want!!!

So, if any of you have a duo script(s) that you think I might enjoy, I would be so grateful if you could help me out!
