i heard thru the grapevine that mr. reed is leaving. it seems like you guys have a new coach every year. that really sux. is mrs. niclkes going to do it next year? if not her, than who? just curious, because my coaches were talking about the boone/campbell swing for next year.....trying to get everything set up......i thought mr. reed was a super nice guy....bummer that he's leaving....

yeah, it is a shame he's leaving. But whoever the coach is, I'm sure they will do a stellar job at Boone.

It doesn't appear likely that Ms. Knuckles will be the coach next year. I heard a rumor that one of our former graduates who usually works with us quite often will be taking charge. However, I do not know if anything is definite.

Rumor is she accepted the job, but I don't know if it's true. If it is, the coach will be Ms. Nicole Estenfelder, and I'm pretty confident she'd be more than willing to help co-host the Boone/Campbell Swing.

Calloway is losing their coach too? Man, that bites.. I hope their next coach is as good as their last, since I think they have a legit shot at winning this coming year given the amount of returning talent.

LOL to the keeping down a coach, but this is like 4 coaches in 20-30 years...(Mrs. Kohl for lord knows how long, Mr. Hamm for I believe 5, and then Ms. Knuckles and Mr. Reed) that's not too bad, right? Besides, we knew Mr. Reed was leaving either this year or next because he was only an interim for while Ms. Knuckes gets her masters.

That said, if Ms. Estenfeilder is indeed the coach next year, Boone will potentially have a great situation in 2-3 years with the potential of dual coaches of Ms. Knuckles, Ms. Estenfeilder, and I'm sure that Mr. Hamm will make special exceptions and work with the willing speakers/debaters or ever actors.


?, are there any rumors or reports on what the status of the Calloway coach search is? Just out of curiousity... Oh, and as Richie asked, anyone else losing a coach? If so, I feel your pain.

Yeah, i heard she is a strict practicer, but err, i think that may be what we need i guess. And of course, i remember her at camp and she was nice, and amaZing, i'm really looking foward to next year though.

i didn't know calloway was losing their coach too. bummer. but speaking of which, has anybody heard anything about franklin-simpson's situation for next year? i know they lost their coach in the middle of the year, and a teacher took over to get them through state, but i'm not sure if that was a permanent thing or not.

The Kohls will be teaching the Boone team. Two team alums and a former coach, so it should work out I think. Now the question is who is going to be on the team. I'm one of the two returning seniors, and I have no idea what else is going to happen.

the kohls will only be taking a small team (18ish) so we will be more of a quality team than quanity. they want everyone to be doubling at tourney #1 (Campbell Co) i'm not too sure who's coming back..k burke is contemplating so convince anyone in the ky speech family to harass her to no end!! i'll be there..

campbell county lost one coach - ms. seifert. she moved to owen county (where-ever in the **** that is). she's starting a new team there. boo hoo. she was awesome. i like our other coach too, ms. huntington, but it will be weird without both of them. especially since it's my senior year.

Wow.. that kind of blows. If I'm not mistaken, Ms. Seifert graduated from BCHS (or else another Seifert was obcessed w/ the phrase Eat Dead Mice or something like that on the lightbooth wall).

At least more schools will have teams though. I was worried that Boone wouldn't have one. Fortunately they do, but it's only ie. Better than nothing though...

Yeah, its a bummer we wont be doing Debate or congress, But i'm just happy that were going to have a team... Its the only thing i have to particapate in... 2 day suntill try outs :shock: I memorized my monologue but i still have to do some work on it, i MUST make the team, lol.

Two superiors of mine at Congress could just as easily work with them. I am talking about Rachel and Spencer, of course.
Seriously, I was talking to Rachel about it, and she said that during the entire month of December she could be down there working with them, but Spencer knows what he's doing and she'd pretty much just sit there while they did everything.
But yes, of course I agree. How can you not put up a team, when you just won 6 straight. Seriously.

One of you should come to boone soon and talk to the kohls, it might help if you show them that there are people who knows what there doing in thos events... Best part of it if you get an attitude with them they can't do anything ( haha just kidding )..

You know what my LD experience is? A joke case at NFL qualifiers, because we had extra slots we could fill, and they thought it be fun to do. (Nate Streiter watched my first round, and laughed the entire time. Ask Brice sometime about his experience with that case.. Mr. Hamm lent it to them to use to train him there, lol)
