I am a HS senior in S. CA. I am thinking of going to Conn College next fall, and if possible I'd love to find a part-time coaching job (partially to help ease symptoms of withdrawal from competition  ). My main event is Congress but I could also do extemporaneous events and forensic/public address events.

So, are there any schools within 30-45 minutes of New London, CT that have competitive teams?

Thanks a bunch,
Ariel

As far as I know, most of conneticut is a desolate wasteland, forensically speaking and otherwise.

Speaking as a native Connecticutian, I can honestly say that, while not forensically inclined, Connecticut is awesome, particularly southwest CT. Come on. When was the last time MA had a mass gubermatorial scandal?

my gripe with conneticut is that I don't consider it a state unto itself. You can draw a line down the middle where the red sox fans stop, and the yankee fans start, and we might as well give to top half to massachusetts and the bottom half to new york.

Yeah, but that wouldn't be fair, because that would happen to other states. Most southeast Pennsylvanians don't consider Delaware a state, merely a suburb of Philadelphia. People say things of New Jersey (not forensically) but since they're good at forensics, they don't count-until I graduate.

Agreed.
Overall, I can sort of see your point, but perhaps "desolate wasteland" is too strong a word. At least it's better than Jersey

That's right. I went there.
