I think Manatee has it bad when it comes to Interp as a whole.
I mean... there are SOOOO many great competitors down here! For example, in DI... there's ofcourse Monique Robinson, Alex Weisman, Jodi Savitz, Raisa, Delana, Kelly, Katrina, Ryan... and MORE!!!
I say... It's in God's hands.

May the best man qual!

I am actually extremely unhappy right now, seeing as I am too sick to participate in this week's NFL qualifying tournament.
but that doesn't make the competition any easier. most definitely.

just got the saaaaaaaaaaad results in from rowena. I think that these should be right.
DI
- Johanna Ayala from Gardens.
- Another girl from Gardens.
1st alt: Cara Brown from Spanish River
2nd alt: Sierra Gerard McGill from Dreyfoos
Kelly got to finals, Gabe got to finals, Rowena got to the "quarters" round they had. Something is kind of fishy here. Actually, I screamed and yelled when I found out. haha.
HI
- Patrick Hurlburt from Lake Highland. (woohoo one of row and i's novices!)
- Jonothan Mitchell from Celebration.
1st alt: Jessica Hoffman from Trinity (what row told me, not sure if it's right.)
DUO
- Tarikh and David from Trinity (I heard picket fenced the tournament)
- Becca Kirshner and Katie Ruark from Trinity.
Oratory
- Logan Ury from Spanish River.
- Natasha Jubert from Winter Springs.
i don't see very many nationally-known names, however i'm sure that all of them are great. well, they must be since they qualled, right?

Jeff, we miss you too! Be glad you weren't at panther district quals, though... trust me on that one.
On another note, I have decided that first alternates are awesome. We rock.

All of the good people at this tournament got completely shafted. They either dropped unnecessarily early or came in as alternates. It's really unfortunate...panther district has a lot of talent that will go unrepresented at nationals.

It was the most corrupt and unjust event I have ever attended. Some of the best interpers in the entire nation are in our district, and some of those individuals were never even mentioned at awards (*cough* DRAMATIC INTERP *cough*). Having PBG take DI and two novices take HI just didn't add up. That's just the tip of the iceberg, too.
A hopefully-deserved but positively-intended congrats to those who did make it through to Philly / Delaware / What-the-****-ever. Have fun! We'll telecommute.

But.. but... Duo was good, right? ...Right?
Oh, and Jessica's spot is correct. It's ridiculous that she didn't win the whole **** thing, but it's correct. Same goes for Kelly, Gabe, Rowena, Cara, Sierra, etc. However, it should be noted that my mother had to explain to an IE judge that 6 was not the best ranking in the room. So those fives and sixes might actually be ones and twos.
More info on qualifiers:
Duo
1st alternate- Jake Hightower/Harry Shephard a la Trinity Prep.
2nd alternate- Lauren Erlich/Amy ..... (I only met her yesterday, give me a break,) from Celebration.
Extemp
Qualifier- Rachel Johnson of Trinity Prep.[/i]

Qualifier- Rachel Johnson of Trinity Prep.[/i]
Heh... she'll drop for impromptu...
I'm still so pissed off about the likes of especially Kelly (as well as Jeska, Cara, Jess, Sam, etc.) not qualling. I do not know another time in forensics where so much talent and effort went to waste than today.

Jessica, since you're one of the three best HI-ers in the state, I can't imagine how it must feel to be swindled, for lack of a better word, out of a qualifying spot that you virtually secured as your own months ago. Your performance was not only the most polished and refined, but also the most original. You deserved it more than any novice could comprehend.
Condolences abound.

I love you Sam. And as much as you deny it, you have SO MUCH TALENT, you have impressed me every single one of the MILLION times I've seen you perform over the past three years, and I will sincerelly miss you A TON next year.

i think she is doing the last two and maybe the first one...i don't know i haven't seen it but someone told me it was at districts. The good thing is the school that this girl is from isn't going to nfl or cfl so i won't ever compete against her
