Dear friends, I would like to thank you for coming out this afternoon and supporting us in this journey we are about to begin. Let me first start by saying, I am so grateful for all the support you have provided up to this point in my storied career. From my many defeats of the devious Dr. Wiley, and onwards to the evil Sigma, we have traveled far and wide together, and now I believe it is time to take that journey to the next step.
With that, I am *very* pleased to announce that I, Mega Man, will be running for the office of the President of the United States of America in the 2008 election!
*crowd of thousands goes wild...begin chanting "Meg-Uh Man! Meg-Uh Man!"*

I feel that this announcement, and this presidential bid, is long overdue! Too long have fictional video game superheroes gone unrepresented in this country! Too long have citizenship been denied to robots, simply because they are not human!
I, Mega Man, plan to change all of that! Fictional, non-existent robots shall be granted the right to vote! As well as be treated with the same basic human rights that we deserve (coughdespitenotbeinghumancough)!
Together, we can change the course of this nation to one of robocratic freedom and democracy! Where robots, and humans can live together as equals, and help American become a greater nation than it has ever been!
