DUO and word on my street is that Niceville will b there 2. Already a high quality duo tourney sans Iowa, Minnesota, and Illini. BK finalists will have their work cut out for them, especially us. I just can't wait for the AMAZING Sheraton, the best hotel pine View goes to. Even our hotel at NFLs last year sucked.

yeah you can triple enter at Crestian. Lynda Figuerdo and Kaitlyn (I'm sorry I don't know her last name..forgive me =| ) triple entered last year. But this year I'm not sure if you can because on the invitation it says that they want to keep it, at the most, to 2 events per student.

Holy crap, Crestian's registration numbers have already exceeded all possible expectations. If you're not in yet, hurry! You can do it online in something like 3 or 4 minutes. Don't forget the hotel, too!

Well.... I went on the website... and to save everyone some trouble here's how many people are listed for each event:

CX - 14
PFD - 36
LD - 101
SC - 99
UX - 62

What is scary is that only the top 24 break from each ie event. I wonder if their gonna take away a prelim and put in an octofinal round. That would be great. What do you guys think?

I'd like to see a quarters round with, instead of 6 per room, you have 9 per room. That would allow 1/3 to break, instead of 1/4 or 1/2.

I'm already trying for the better food on the IE campus (feel bad for me: i eat that crap every day for lunch), so I'll try for an octofinal round or something of that nature. Although he might have everything set up already (and like he would listen to me), so i can't guarantee anything.

Okay, so I emailed Ernie and he replied with good news and bad news, depending on how you feel about it.

This is going to be the largest and most competitive Crestian ever, so a few changes have to be made. Ernie's not going with the octofinal round (although i tried), but all the break rounds will probably have seven instead of six people in each room. Quarters- 4 rooms with 7; semis-2 rooms with 7; Finals- 1 room with 7 or maybe 6.

Yeah, the food was pretty bad last year (although I worked at the debate campus which had good food---- don't get me started on how our school favors debaters, but anyway...), but this year we're ordering from outside restaurants, so it should be all good this year.

And you can still go over to the pond to see the turtles and see the cats fall asleep in the middle of crowded hallways.

it was a great tournament for florida in some events, especially DI, seeing as we rock it like nobody else. somehow, it was disappointing that rowena didn't break out of quarters, joele didn't break, natalie jones, myself, etc. but finals made up for it for the fact the alex won, kelly continued her two streak, and monique and jodi rounded out the top four.

oh, and by the way, OI is hard and unpredictable. hah.
